This is distinct from the square drive used on backpack units. - **Connection Type:** 7-Spline (Star Shape). - **Locking Mechanism:** Spring-pin quick disconnect. - **Coupler:** Tool-less lead-in coupler on the ECHO PAS-2620 powerhead. - **Assembly:** Shafts connect directly to the power unit without tools. - **Head range:** 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2". #### ⚠ Important Fitment Note Do not attempt to use "Square Drive" shafts with this motor. They will not engage with the 7-spline coupler. #### ⚠ Fuel Requirement The PAS-2620 is a 2-stroke powerhead. Run gasoline pre-mixed with 2-stroke oil at the ratio given in the ECHO operator's manual. The PAS-2620 is a 2-stroke engine, so it runs on gasoline pre-mixed with 2-stroke engine oil at the ratio given in the ECHO operator's manual. Do not run straight unleaded gasoline in this unit.  How do I connect the shaft?  Align the splines, lift the spring pin, insert the adapter, and spin until the pin clicks to lock.  What maintenance is required? Follow the ECHO service schedule for the powerhead, including air filter and spark plug. Remove and re-lubricate the shaft inner core every 50 hours with a 1/16 in coating of lithium grease.
