System Compatibility
7-Spline Quick Disconnect
The CSV 35 utilizes a specific 7-Spline Drive system designed for high-speed handheld operation[cite: 87, 105]. This is distinct from the square drive used on backpack units.
- Connection Type: 7-Spline (Star Shape).
- Locking Mechanism: Spring-pin quick disconnect.
- Assembly: Shafts connect directly to the power unit without tools.
⚠ Important Fitment Note
Do not attempt to use "Square Drive" shafts with this motor. They will not engage with the 7-spline coupler.

Does the CSV 35 require mixed gas?
No. Because it uses a Honda 4-Stroke engine, you use straight unleaded gasoline. Do not mix oil into the fuel. This prevents engine fouling and simplifies job site logistics.
How do I connect the shaft?
The CSV 35 uses a 7-spline drive system. To assemble, line up the splines, lift the spring pin, and insert the flexible shaft adapter. Spin the shaft until the pin clicks into place to lock it.
What maintenance is required?
Engine: Follow the Honda owner’s manual for oil changes.
Shaft: Every 50 hours of operation, remove the inner core, wipe it clean, and re-lubricate with a 1/16" coating of high-quality lithium grease.
Heads: Factory sealed and require no maintenance.
What shaft types are available?
Pencil Shaft (Part #25BY24): More flexible, designed for tight block wall cells.
Standard Shaft (Part #25CA24): Stiffer, designed for better poking control in footings and slabs.
