The CSV 35: Honda Reliability in a Handheld.
Grind Ceilings Without the Ladder.
The NorthRock PRO 1200 transforms the most fatigue-inducing job on the site—overhead grinding—into a safe, ground-level operation. Designed to remove form marks, seams, and imperfections from concrete ceilings, this unit eliminates the need for scaffolding or stilts. For jobsites requiring silica dust compliance, the PRO 1200V model features an integrated vacuum guard system that captures dust at the source, keeping your air clean and your site compliant.
- Safety First: Operate entirely from the floor. No ladders, scaffolding, or stilts required.
- Dust Control: Available with a dual-vacuum HEPA cart system to meet silica dust regulations.
- Self-Adjusting Head: The pivoting head automatically contours to the ceiling surface for an even finish without gouging.

Engineered for Overhead Work
Eliminate operator fatigue and scaffolding costs.
Cam-Lock Pressure System
Consistency is key. The PRO 1200 utilizes a spring-loaded cam arm that applies constant, even pressure to the ceiling. This prevents operator fatigue and ensures a uniform finish across the entire slab.
Dust Control (PRO 1200V)
Breathe easier. The PRO 1200V model comes equipped with a floating vacuum guard with brush seals. When paired with our HEPA vacuum cart, it captures silica dust at the source.
Pivoting Head Design
No gouging. The grinding head is mounted on a multi-axis pivot bearing, allowing it to self-adjust to the contours of the concrete automatically as you move.
Winch Height Adjustment
Setup is fast. A heavy-duty winch allows you to raise and lower the mast to fit ceiling heights ranging from 7 feet to 12 feet in seconds.

How high can the unit reach?
The standard mast adjusts to reach ceilings between 7 feet and 12 feet high. The height is easily adjusted using the manual winch system on the mast.
What maintenance does the flexible shaft need?
Every 50 hours of operation, you should remove the inner core, wipe it clean, and re-lubricate it with a 1/16" coating of high-quality lithium grease. This prevents overheating and extends the life of the shaft.
How do I attach a grinding stone?
The grinding head utilizes a 5/8"-11 R.H. thread spindle. Simply thread your chosen grinding stone onto the spindle. Ensure the unit is unplugged (or spark plug removed) before changing accessories.
Can I use this for wet grinding?
While the manual primarily describes dry grinding with vacuum attachments for dust control, the unit is rated IPX4 (splash resistant). However, always ensure you are using a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) and proper extension cords marked for outdoor use (W-A) when operating in damp conditions.
How does the pressure system work?
You don't need to manually push the grinder against the ceiling. You set the initial height about 2 inches below the ceiling, then use the tension handle to cam-lock the head against the surface. This spring-loaded pressure ensures a consistent cut.
